ROBERT F. KENNEDY, JR. Grand Assembly Keynote Speaker

Kennedy was named one of Time magazine’s “Heroes for the Planet” for his success in helping Riverkeeper lead the fight to restore the Hudson River. The group’s achievement helped spawn more than 160 Waterkeeper organizations across the globe.

He has worked on environmental issues across the Americas, and has assisted several indigenous tribes in Latin America and Canada in successfully negotiating treaties to protect their traditional homelands. In “A Contract with Our Future,” Kennedy offers advice on how businesses can utilize sound environmental policies and procedures to grow, save money and help preserve the environment for the future.

ADRIAN ARRIAGA
Adrian A. Arriaga is the Broker/Owner of AAA Real Estate & Investments in McAllen, TX. A commercial REALTOR® since 1985, he represents investors from Mexico, Germany and Korea in Texas and northern Mexico. He currently serves as REALTOR® of Record of several national U.S. companies in South Texas. Active with the National Association of REALTORS® for many years, Adrian is serving as NAR Presidential Liaison to Mexico. This past year, NAR has asked Adrian to co-author a new NAR course entitled, "Doing Business in Mexico" that is a certified four-hour MCE course which is offered to all REALTORS® in the U.S. and Mexico.

PAUL BISHOP

Paul Bishop is the Managing Director of Real Estate Research at the National Association of REALTORS®. Dr. Bishop leads the Research Division’s survey and market research activities including analysis of real estate business and policy issues.

Prior to joining NAR in 2001, Dr. Bishop was a Senior Financial Economist in the Division of Insurance at the FDIC. Between 1991 and 1996, Dr. Bishop was a Senior Economist at the WEFA Group in the Regional Consulting and Forecasting Group where he managed the state and metropolitan area forecasting service and worked with clients on numerous consulting projects.

DIANA BUSTAMANTE

Diana Bustamante entered the real estate industry in 1990, after 11 years of experience, Diana became a new and experienced agent trainer, coach and consultant. She has held many volunteer positions on state and national levels of NAR. She is a member of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) and the Women’s Council of REALTORS®. Dave is active in NAR and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB).

 

RICHARD COSTOW

Mr. Costow is a Stakeholder Liaison in the Mid-Atlantic Area Stakeholder Liaison Office of Internal Revenue Service’s Small Business/Self-Employed Division. Previously, Mr. Costow had been the Area project co-lead on IRS liaison initiatives to Pennsylvania tax practitioner organizations. He has been actively involved with the annual Eastern PA “Working Together”, Northern NJ “Working Together”, and South Jersey “Working Together” conferences which are a joint effort of public and private tax professionals to enhance the level of communication, education, and trust between these respective groups.  Mr. Costow is in charge of the New Jersey Small Business Forum.  Also, he speaks frequently to small business and practitioner organizations throughout the Tri-State where he discusses topics including IRS policies and procedures, tax law issues, and electronic tax administration.

TERRY WATSON

Terry is a second generation REALTOR® that works for his family’s real estate office in Chicago, which his mother and Terry started 13 years ago while Terry was in college. Terry received no formal training from any real estate franchise or any other real estate office. This forced Terry to create unorthodox but highly effective shrewd techniques. His bizarre methods are so successful that after hearing him speak, Northwestern University in Chicago asked him to chair their real estate department at their school of continuing studies and tweak their real estate courses. Terry is the youngest person to ever do so. Terry is a GenerationXer who believes that education must be entertaining and cutting edge.

John Yen Wong brings broad industry experience to his work as a business consultant with Compensation Master, the company that has mastered designing profitable commission plans for attracting and retaining high revenue generating agents.
