Joseph Palumbo is the Vice President of Real Estate Service at Weichert Workforce Mobility where he has been employed since 2007. He is responsible for managing North American home disposition for relocating employees which include appraisals, home inspections and property resale. He is also responsible for developing and implementing best practices for property disposition. Joe has been involved in the real estate industry since 1986, as a staff appraiser with World Savings eventually moving to management at CitiBank and Washington Mutual. From 1991 to 1999, he was self-employed.
An Instructor since 1995 Mr. Palumbo specializes in teaching “Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice” (USPAP). He is one of 528 AQB certified Instructors. He has been selected by the Appraisal Institute from a small panel of qualified instructors to teach internationally. He has presented classes in Beijing, China and Mexico City, Mexico. Joe has and SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute where he has served his local Chapter as Public relations Chair, Education Chair and Board member. He also has an ASA designation from the American Society of Real Estate Appraisers. Joe is a past adjunct faculty member for NYU and Baruch City College in NYC. Joe is also a licensed realtor in NJ.
In March 201, he was appointed to the NJ State Appraisal Board by Governor Christie and he has served since.
